Well friends, in just 4 short days this little lady is getting married.
Who would have thought that my ultra cool, ultra independent, semi-feminist, older sister would one day subject herself to a lifetime of submission and subservience get married?
I did.
I mean who wouldn't want to marry a smart, sarcastic funny, talented redhead? Who wouldn't want a woman who can pull together a 3 course meal using the 5 ingredients she has in her empty fridge? Who could resist the woman who knows more random historical facts than the History channel?
Or the girl who volunteered her free time teach refugees to speak English? Or the person who spent her summers caring for the elderly and is one kickin' Sunday School teacher?
Or the person who taught me the beauty of a well thought out prank? And the importance of always locking your bedroom door. And all the best hiding spots in hide-and-go-seek. And how to turn a bunk bed into a covered wagon to traverse the Oregon trail.
I only hope that one day her kids are as awesome as we were.
Now I have to go think of something nice to say in my Maid of Honor speech . . .
