The Beginning
So what is This Glorious Adventure?
Webster's defines glorious as:
(1) possessing or deserving glory (worshipful praise, honor, and thanksgiving) and (2) marked by beauty or great splendor
an adventure is
(1) an undertaking involving danger and unknown risks and (2)an exciting or remarkable experience
So know that we have the grammar lessons out of the way, why a Glorious Adventure?
I believe that following Christ is a journey or an adventure, if you will, hence the word following. Contrary to what I thought for most of my childhood, it is not simply a prayer that is repeated and then forgotten. It is not stagnant, or stationary, and it is definitely not easy. It takes work and effort and danger and best of all? It's exciting.
I also believe that we, as God's creation, are called to live our lives in such a way that we bring glory to Him. And you know what the best part is? A life that is lived in honor of God is marked by beauty. To some, it might seem like I am ruining my life, but I prefer to think of it as gloriously ruined by the gospel.
And so, I want my life to be lived in obedience to Christ so that other's might catch a small glimpse of His deep glory. In other words: This Glorious Adventure.
